Celebrities Set to Perform at Trump’s 2025 Inauguration, Including Lee Greenwood and Carrie Underwood

The list of celebrities set to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2025, has been revealed. The event will take place at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., and will be preceded by celebrations starting the weekend before, including a fireworks show at Trump’s golf club in Sterling, Virginia, and a campaign-style rally in D.C.

The inaugural committee co-chairs, Steve Witkoff and Kelly Loeffler, shared that the celebrations would reflect Trump’s return to the White House and emphasize his America First agenda, aiming to unite the country.

Several notable performers are scheduled to participate, including country singer Lee Greenwood and opera singer Christopher Macchio, who will perform the national anthem. The Village People will perform at two different inaugural events, and Carrie Underwood has been invited to sing “America the Beautiful.” Underwood expressed her honor at being part of such a historic event and emphasized the importance of unity during a time of division.

Despite the excitement surrounding the performances, some critics voiced strong disapproval, particularly directed at Underwood for performing at an event associated with Trump, citing his controversial history. The Village People, meanwhile, defended their participation, emphasizing that music transcends politics and calling “Y.M.C.A.” a global anthem.

The event will also feature religious leaders, with Franklin Graham and Cardinal Timothy Dolan delivering the invocation.
