Luka Dončić’s Home Burgled by Transnational Crime Ring, Family Safe

NBA superstar Luka Dončić has become the latest athlete to be targeted by a burglary gang that appears to be operating in a well-coordinated manner, as confirmed by his business manager, Lara Beth Seager. The break-in at Dončić’s home occurred on a Friday night, though the star player and his family were not at home at the time. Thankfully, they are all safe. This incident came just two days after Dončić suffered a muscle injury, which will keep him out of NBA action for the next month.

This break-in is part of a larger pattern, as other high-profile athletes, including NFL stars Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Joe Burrow, have also had their homes burglarized in recent weeks. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, a transnational criminal ring is responsible for these incidents. This gang is targeting the homes of American athletes by tracking their schedules, using public records, and monitoring social media to determine when the athletes will be away. The criminals then break into the homes and steal valuables such as cash, jewelry, and watches, usually avoiding confrontation by waiting for the homes to be empty during games or other absences.

In response, the NFL has issued a security alert, urging players to be vigilant about the safety of their properties and to enhance their security systems. Athletes like Joe Burrow have expressed frustration over the invasion of privacy that comes with being targeted by such criminals, acknowledging the challenges of living a public life.
